Experience Stodmarsh NNR after sunset as we go in search for....Bats!
About this Event

Join us in August for a very special evening as we host a guided walk led by one of our own volunteers where we will be looking for a very special flying mammal…. BATS! The UK is home to 18 species of Bat (not the Vampire Bat though) and a few of these can be found at Stodmarsh.

The walk will start from the Stodmarsh carpark (CT3 4BB) and head up to the Tower Hide for our best chance to find some Bats using a variety of technologies. Please note this is a free event, and payment for the carpark is voluntary but if you wish to donate towards our conservation work there is a dedicated donation box by the shelter in the carpark.

The walk will be approximately 1 mile on firm ground and is accessible to all. But please bring with you a torch as we will be heading on to the reserve after sunset. Given the time of day you never know other wildlife what we may see/hear on our walk.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL for this event due to limited spaces and please be aware that clicking ‘going’ on our Facebook event will not guarantee a space.
