Stitching a Story in Time: A Quilting Retreat
Oct. 2-3, 6 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday
Join us for creativity and storytelling.
Led by Fr. Timothy Armbruster
We will make a 9-patch crazy quilt (approximately 3’x3’) and share stories as we do it.
What to bring:
- A sewing machine*
- Quilting tools
- 9 pieces of cloth, 1/2 yard of each, in these colors: red, pink, yellow, green, blue, purple, gray, orange and brown
- Any fabric you want to share
Also, bring stories to share on these themes:
- A story of energy or excitement
- A time of nurturing or being nurtured
- A story of happiness or cheerfulness
- A time of warmth
- A story of tranquility or relaxation
- A story of stability or earthly connection
- A story that touched your heart
Costs:
- $100 — Includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday, snacks and beverages.
- $45 — (Optional) We have overnight accommodations if you want to stay in our guesthouse.
*If you don’t have a sewing machine to bring, let us know and we can try to find one you can borrow.
