What
A community of creative individuals eager to share and experience the artistic expressions of others.
Whatever your chosen medium — music, writing, painting, poetry, song — this a space you can read, display or sing it. All are welcome.
Why
We follow the advice of Kurt Vonnegut, who said, “Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what's inside you, to make your soul grow."
Who
You and your friends. We’d like to build a community centered on creativity and expression.
When
Our inaugural event is Oct. 8, but we want make this a regular occurrence at the Renewal Center.
Theme
The suggested theme for the evening is “Gratitude & Reflection” but anyone can bring anything to share from their heart.
More Details
There will be time for prayer, sharing our creative sacred stories, and a time for poets and artists to share how their faith and life experience inspires their art. We will also have refreshments and time for fellowship.
This is an in-person event.
