STARS CGI Youth Town Hall : Self-Care to Community-Care: We Got US!

The Sports Training and Role-models for Success Citywide Girls Initiative (STARS CGI) is a collaboration of ten leading New York City nonprofits with missions to support girls and young women of color to overcome barriers to success, grow emotionally, academically and physically stronger, and give them the tools that they need to develop as leaders in their communities.

Join us for an afternoon where youth will have the opportunity to gather together and create actionable steps towards change!

"Self-Care to Community-Care: WE Got US!" is more than just a theme—it’s a call to action. It's about recognizing that while caring for ourselves is essential, it’s only the first step. The next level is realizing the power we have when we come together and support each other. Whether we’re talking about mental health, creating safer spaces, or advocating for social justice, the strength of our community is what makes real change possible. "WE Got US!" isn’t just a statement of solidarity—it’s a vision for a future where we take care of each other, and where local government plays a key role in making that future a reality. This town hall is just the beginning. It’s about creating a dialogue between young people and those in power, about working together to foster an environment where community-care is a shared responsibility.
