St. Patrick's Island Community Cleanup Day

Join us for a hands-on adventure in nature as we roll up our sleeves and give St. Patrick’s Island a little TLC!

We are coming together to pick up litter and care for this beautiful urban park so birds, wildlife, and people can enjoy it for years to come.

No experience is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and a love for the outdoors. We will provide all the tools, garbage bags, and safety gear, along with a chance to learn more about the island’s natural beauty. It is a great way to give back, make a visible impact, and enjoy a few laughs with fellow nature lovers.

Expect a little sweat, a lot of satisfaction, and maybe even a few feathered friends cheering you on. Families, friends, and solo volunteers are all welcome. This is an all-ages event.

What to Bring:

• Water bottle
• Garden gloves (we will have extras too)
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• A good attitude and maybe a picnic for after

⏰ Time: 9:30 am to Noon
📍 Meeting point: Event board near 656 Confluence Way SE on the RiverWalk pathway

These events are presented in partnership between East Village and Nature Calgary, with all registration fees donated directly to Nature Calgary.

🚗 Parking:

• Street parking: pay at kiosks
• Lot parking: pay using the Calgary Parking Authority mobile app

Accessibility and Inclusion:

• Pathways are flat and mostly well compacted
• Guides will adapt routes based on group abilities
• Plant and wildlife ID can be modified for participants with sight or hearing impairments
• LGBTQ+ friendly, welcoming people of all orientations and identities
• Dogs are not allowed unless medically necessary

Please dress for the weather. If conditions are unsafe (heavy rain or snow, smoke, flooding), CMLC will cancel and refunds will be issued.
