Volunteer Whip planting

Help bring nature back to Nose Creek! Join us in Greenview Industrial as we transform an underused grassy area into a vibrant natural habitat. As part of a larger naturalization project, volunteers will help plant a variety of native trees and shrubs, creating the foundation for a future landscape of colourful wildflowers, natural forest patches, and thriving habitat for wildlife and people to enjoy.

This exciting naturalization project will support pollinators, birds, and other local wildlife while making the area greener and more resilient for years to come. Whether you're passionate about nature, looking to give back to your community, or simply want to enjoy a day outdoors, we'd love to have you be part of this transformation.

Planting events are seasonal from May to October and typically take around 3-4 hours.

Reminders:

• For your safety, no open toed shoes are allowed to be worn while planting.
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Please do not wear jewelry that may slip off or bring valuables that may get lost when planting.
• Registration and waivers must be completed prior to planting.
• Please ensure you arrive before the start time to ensure you are able to plant a tree. Anyone not present for the safety talk at the beginning of the event will not be permitted to participate.
