St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town | Cape Town, WC
In the lead up to the new series of concerts for 2026, there will be 4 concerts taking place at St George's Cathedral on the First Tuesday of September, October, November and December.
For our first concert on Tuesday 2nd September:
World renowned Italian Pianist Filippo Gorini is donating a performance to the Series as part of his educational and concert tour of South Africa. He will perform Schubert's Piano Sonata in B Flat, D960.
The concerts offer a variety of classical music in an informal and friendly way. They are introduced by the musicians, and patrons are invited to sit, unwind, ‘unplug’ and contemplate through music in the iconic surroundings of St Georges Cathedral in the heart of the City.
Concerts are free of charge as the Cathedral remains an open space for all, but donations are welcome to help fundraise for the Cathedral's much needed building repairs and maintenance along with concert running costs. Facility for credit card and cash will be available at the door, but you can reserve your attendance and make a donation in advance via Quicket/
