St Cecilia's Day Concert - Celebrating Women's Contributions to Music
For the third season running, the Jesuits Church Foundation will be celebrating the feast of St Cecilias (patron saint of musicians) with a recital dedicated to female composers.
This year we are very proud to have contemporary Maltese composer Véronique Vella as the focus of our Cecilian celebrations. The evening includes works such as 'Talba', 'Fjuri I' and 'W.A.R'
Cellist Simon Abdilla Joslin, together with the composer herself on the piano as well as guest musician Alan Vella on electronic keyboard, present an evening of contemporary Maltese music in a spectacular setting.
Entrance to the concert is FREE but donations are welcome.
Access to the Oratory of the Onorati is from Archbishop Street.
(NOTE: This event is on a FRIDAY...not our usual Thursday concert!)
