Summer Shakespeare Trust Tauranga presents 'As You Like It' by William Shakespeare and Directed by Pascal Tibbits. Held over 8 nights between the 5-15th February 2026.
Held in the magnificent amphitheatre in the Te Puna Quarry Park, the setting is perfect to tell the tale of love's many disguises and the beauty of finding oneself amidst natures splendor.
This beloved play invites you into a whimsical world of love, laughter, and self-discovery. Set in the lush Forest of Arden, you’ll meet a colorful cast of characters, each navigating the twists and turns of romance and friendship.
As the story unfolds, watch as Rosalind, the clever and spirited heroine, disguises herself to explore the complexities of love and identity. With witty banter, unexpected encounters, and a touch of magic, As You Like It reminds us that life is a stage filled with possibilities.

Returning cast members Rain Denyer (Juliet in R+J, Miranda in The Tempest), Marcus D'Meschief (Sampson in R+J, Trinculo in The Tempest ), Oli Davie (Tybalt in R+J, Stephano in The Tempest), David Guy (Capulet in R+J, Gonzalo The Tempest), Robyn Pascoe (Balthasar in R+J), Marianne Daboudet (Marianne in R+J), Jonathan Insall-Reid (Prince in R+J), and a big welcome to Zoe Cruse, Jason Chamberlain & Daniel Goldie-Anderson (Stars Of Nell Gwynn) to their premier show with Summer Shakespeare.
Being an outdoor event, we are subject to the weather so please bring a warm jacket and a comfortable cushion as terrace seating is available. No chairs please.
There will be drinks and food available to purchase on site before the show and at intermission. As there is alcohol available to buy, we request that you drink responsibly and consider carpooling with a designated sober driver. PLEASE NO BYO ALCOHOL, only alcoholic drinks purchased at the event can be consumed. Gates open at 5.30pm, show starts at 6.30pm.
There is space at the venue for Wheelchair access and we will have a mini-van transporting those in need up the pathway to the amphitheater.
