Big Characters, Short Films: Acting the Condensed Journey

Short films don’t give actors the luxury of a slow build. This workshop explores how performers can understand, energise, and deliver a complete character journey in a compressed screen story — making bold, truthful choices that land quickly on camera.

Nick J. Field is the Principal of Acting Coach Scotland, where he teaches and directs across the school’s full-time and part-time acting programmes. He trained at East 15 Acting School and specialises in practical, actor-focused training for stage, screen, and auditions.

Armando Di Lillo is an award-winning director, actor, published writer, international acting coach, filmmaker, and graduate of Acting Coach Scotland. He is the founder of Armando Di Lillo International Acting Studio and works across Italy, Scotland, and Spain, with a focus on Practical Aesthetics and screen performance.

Workshop attendees will automatically be provided with a ticket to our evening of 'Wild Scotland' themed films (running time 19:15 to 21:15)
