Guitar Maintenance Session

Have you been playing guitar for a while but don’t really know how to look after it? Or maybe you have a guitar in the corner that’s been gathering dust which you would like to play. Join Neil Sturgeon to learn how to restring and take care of your guitar. This is an opportunity to bring in your guitar and give it some of the care it deserves.

Donations raised from this session will go towards Givin’ it Laldie, a community music organisation based in the Gorbals, Glasgow. Our free music sessions for folks aged 9 to 99 bring local people from diverse backgrounds together to improve health and well-being, create community, and improve access to arts and culture in the area.

Neil Sturgeon is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and community musician with decades of experience performing, writing, and teaching folks how to play guitar. He has been leading group guitar sessions for Givin’ it Laldie for over 10 years. His thoughtful, welcoming approach to working with folk means they walk away feeling energised and ready to take on the next challenge.
