On May 16th, the WeDesi collective is collaborating with us to showcase their take on Indian food, arts, music and fashion.

For one day, the SPREEMARKT becomes an open space for celebrating, sharing, and discovering traditional and contemporary Indian culture.

➡️ Mohiniyattam is an Indian classical dance form originating from the state of Kerala. The dance takes its name from Mohini—the female enchantress avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu. Shilpa will take over the WEDESI stage at Holzmarkt to showcase her contemporary classical performances.

European pop music with Bharatanatyam
➡️ Jaey, is a Bharatanatyam dancer currently based in Berlin. Alongside Bharatanatyam, she also works with other styles such as Bollywood and Contemporary dance. She will combine Euro Pop Music with Bharatanatyam elements. Check out on Instagram.
