Out of the Shadows is a free annual community event for suicide prevention. We join in supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors and honouring the taken.
On the 13th of September 2026 we will be meeting as a community at Sorell PCYC and embark on a walk to Penna Beach where we will pause, reflect and make time, space, and pay tribute to those who experience suicidal crisis, who have died by suicide and help other Australians in suicidal crisis come out of the shadows and into the light of community kindness, care and belonging. We will then return to Sorell PCYC for a BBQ, games, celebration and gratitude.
