What are we going to do?
Our 2.5hr session will begin with a meditation to drop in, followed by some self-reflection journalling to open our individual, intuitive channels. Next, we will invite the body into our experience by integrating somatic movement and performance techniques, opening up even more to then explore the voice. For a good hour we will deep dive into the voice; what it means to use your voice, some vocal/singing techniques, frequency harmonics and free flow expression. There will also be a variety of instruments available for rhythmic and musical exploration. Finally, to end the session we will be blessed by the beautiful Spirit Fire Sound Healing, taking us on a journey through ambient sound while Tori Eve invites you to flow through ecstatic dance to stillness.

What’s the point?
Have you ever heard the phrase, “you’ll never be ready enough but do it anyway”? We can always find reasons to avoid our truth. With the world moving at such a fast pace these days, it is more important than ever to ensure that we are speaking with truth and being assertive enough to read a room. As technology increases our snap judgement and decision making, practises like these allow for us to take a minute to reflect on how we can show up with more authenticity and from a place of integrity. This workshop is designed to help you bring awareness to the way your express yourself; to your grounded or elevated tendencies and how they each play imperative roles in your unique style. This workshop is also designed to help you find some new perspectives, discernment techniques and approaches when it comes to mental health and how we can individually take responsibility for our own state of mind.
Who the hell are we?
Tori Eve has been exploring the voice for over 22 years as a singer, beginning with school choir at 8 years old. Being trained as a classical singer, she embarked on her own journey to figure out what it means to be able to create authentic sound from your soul. As a theatre performer and student, she learned various somatic techniques to stay present in the body and later began to incorporate yoga, meditation and intuitive movement practises into her expression. Using what she calls “frequency harmonics” in her music, today Tori has various projects in which she integrates her knowledge and creates soundscape performances that truly have to been witnessed to be felt.
Spirit Fire Sound Healing is an immersive, relaxing and rejuvenating sonic bath to rest your body, feel held and safe in a tranquil and supportive environment. Facilitator Jasmine Jarvis, who has over 8 years of sound facilitation experience, will take you on soundscape journey using crystal singing bowls, native flute, traditional percussion, and chimes to soften your soul and raise your vibrations.
