Can-Am Sound Competition Rules

JUDGING WILL BE BASED OFF OF OVERALL SOUND INCLUDING: Clarity, Bass, Volume Control, Sound Staging and Song Choice. Judges are listening for quality, well balanced sound systems. All around sound with the elements of Clarity, Presence, and Authority

**PLEASE RESPECT THE JUDGES AS THEY DO THEIR JOB. THE JUDGES NEED ROOM TOO HONESTLY, FAIRLY AND ACCURATELY JUDGE ALL BIKES.**

· If any participant is caught in violation of the requirements listed for the entered class, they will be immediately disqualified from the competition. Staff may inspect any bike before, during or after the competition. Staff will conduct a reasonable inspection of the participants’ bike which may include but not limited to saddle bag inspections.

· Competitors will be called to the competition area at least 5 minutes prior to their round, if you miss your round, you will be disqualified.

· Competitors that choose to can move up a class, but cannot disconnect speakers to move down a class. If the speaker is on the bike it counts, whether it's hooked up or not.

· Competitors may have someone other than the registered competitor pull your bike into and out of the competition area. Only the registered competitor may operate the sound during competition.

· Only competitors, judges and hosts will be allowed in the competition area during competitions.

· The vehicle must be rideable. Vehicle must also start and pull out of the competition area or be disqualified.

· Heavy Weight & X-treme Weight: Competitors will have 90 seconds to play as many songs as they want. Light Weight & Middle Weight: competitors will have a 60 seconds to play as many songs as they want. Competitors may also be asked to play the same song to determine winners.

· During competition, if a bike's audio is interrupted due to clipping, phone call, notification or loss of signal, it is an automatic disqualification.

· Technical difficulties lasting longer than 1 minute (phone not pairing, usb not reading, etc) you will be moved to the end of the class. If it happens again, you will be disqualified.

· The organization and order of competition will be decided on day of competition depending on how many registrants for each category.

· Everyone must register prior to the day of the competition so that the competition can be organized to run effectively and efficiently.

Class Categories

Ryker – Speaker Count – Tweeters do NOT count.

Light Weight – up to 3 speakers (1 MB or sub no bigger than a 10’)

Middle Weight – up to 5 speakers (1 MB or sub no bigger than 10’)

Heavy Weight – up to 7 speakers (2 - 8’ MB or subs or 1 - 10’ MB or sub)

Spyder – Speaker Count – Tweeters do NOT count.

Light Weight – up to 3 speakers (1 MB or sub no bigger than a 10’)

Middle Weight – up to 5 speakers (1 MB or sub no bigger than 10’)

Heavy Weight – up to 7 speakers (2 - 8’ MB or subs or 1 - 10’ MB or sub)
