Sound Bath at Kent Life, Maidstone

Phoenix Gongs is coming to Kent Life for an afternoon on the farm! This is the second of two sessions, taking place in the beautiful Wagon Store, decorated with dried hops and fairy lights: The perfect space for this restorative and healing experience.

Resting in the vibration of the gong, we re-tune and heal our physical bodies, restoring their natural frequency. Sinking into this experience we are also re-aligning ourselves spiritually: in this space, we can let go of any sense of separateness and realise our interconnection. Connecting to source, we tap into an endless well of healing; spiritually, emotionally and physically.

For me as a practitioner, entering this space allows me to connect with an abundance of love, joy and well-being. My intention is to spread this to all who enter this space with me, so that they may heal themselves and spread their own light into the world.

Take this opportunity to relax, go within, realign and rebalance, allowing the sacred sounds to wash over and through you.

Where to find us:

This session will be taking place at the Wagon Store at Kent Life. Please note that the venue is at the top of the farm, up a gentle incline. Please leave at least 20 minutes from arriving at the farm to give plenty of time to get to the Wagon Store.

Please note: this ticket gives you entrance to the Sound Bath only. If you wish to visit the farm before or afterwards, please purchase a ticket online at kentlife.org.uk or upon arrival.

What to bring:

Yoga mats will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please also bring any blankets or cushions to enhance your comfort. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended.

What happens during a sound bath?

There is no water involved, the word "bath" refers to the listener bathing in the sound and vibrations of the gongs and crystal singing bowls. You will lie (or sit) on the yoga mat for the duration of the experience.

It is worth noting that each person is different and will have a unique, individual experience during a sound bath.

You may experience visuals, such as a dream-like state or seeing colours and/or temporary physical sensations as you undergo physical healing. For example, heaviness, tingling or becoming more acutely aware of areas where you may be experiencing pain.

You may experience different emotions, for example feeling blissful or tearful as you undergo deep emotional healing. All of this can depend on what you yourself are bringing to the session, physically, emotionally and mentally.

Listening to the sounds of the gongs and the crystal singing bowls is generally a relaxing and meditative experience. However, it is possible that you may experience a dislike for a certain gong or crystal bowl at a certain time during the session. This may mean that you have healing to do in a certain area, which this gong or bowl can help with.

Contraindications:

Whilst for the majority of people, it is a deeply healing, relaxing and restorative experience, there are some cases in which this may not be for you.

For example:

If you suffer from tinnitus or any sound-related epilepsy.

Are in your first trimester of pregnancy.

Currently taking, or have been receiving, Medic*tion for any form of psychological disorder within the last 6 months.

Have a pacemaker or any metal plates in your body.
