Soma is the Greek word for body so Somatic Yoga is a therapeutic approach to integrating more interception of the body through mindful movement and breathwork to release tension and trauma that the body holds onto which may be causing anxiety and lack of energy or stagnation.
Lou draws on her studies of ELDOA to take the somatic work a bit deeper by integrating osteopathic principles into the exercises to strengthen core, decompress the spine and myofascial release to realign functional patterns in the body that may be causing pain in the joints.

This is currently Lou's only evening yoga class, offering her unique combination of somatic yoga to reset the central nervous system with a myofascial release sequence of ELDOA targeted stretches to decompress your spine and strengthen your core, rebalancing your postural alignment. Particularly beneficial for anyone recovering from injuries, runners, cyclists and anyone who plays asymmetrical sports like tennis, pickleball or golf etc.
