“It’s better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way” - Alan WattsOn 23rd March I lost a dear friend to Assisted Suicide. Caroline was one of the most active, independent, hardworking and fun loving people I’ve ever met. A talented equestrian and loving dog mum, Caroline suffered a fall cross country that resulted in a spinal cord injury that left her paralysed. She worked hard through intensive rehabilitation and physio, and even travelled to the US for Stem cell treatment. Unfortunately these were to no avail.
She is sorely missed and forever remembered for being the outgoing, stubborn, funny individual that she was.
Caroline’s brother, his wife and a small team of dedicated individuals are doing an 1100km bike ride called Cycle4Caroline, to raise much needed funds for Spinal Research and The British Eventing Support Trust.
So why am I telling you this?
Well, I’d like to do my own thing in my own way to raise money to support the cycle and the two causes! As Caroline was not only a horse and dog lover, but also a keen amateur photographer, the idea Captured4Caroline entered my brain.
So what’s the plan?
Well, I’ve roped in my good friend Jo, The Canine Lens, to give me a hand and we want to capture as many dogs as possible in a day!

Photographs will take place within the field based off Chanterelle Car Park, Highwoods Country Park (see image).

Please note this is a public car park therefore please be sensible and respectful with parking so as not to disrupt other members of the public.

How it works/what you’ll get:
You will be allocated a 15 minute time slot and will get 2 portrait shots of your beloved pup for a donation of £10 per dog. Donations are required to be paid by bank transfer at the time of booking to secure your time slot. Please make the payment reference “Charity”. 100% of the proceeds will be going to Cycle4Caroline
A Few Rules:
Portraits will be taking place in a public area, therefore, for the safety of your dogs and members of the public, all dogs must remain on lead during their portrait session.
Please ensure any litter is disposed of correctly and dog poo is bagged up and put in the poo bins (there is one within the car park)
