We have one last fundraising event in September for Friends of Geode: Sleep Yoga & Sound Healing Under the Stars!
Reserve a spot on the evening of Friday, September 26th at Lake Geode Beach for a special class with Rachel Grant from Mother Moon Yoga and Heather Dalhoff from Humble New Beginnings! This 90 minute experience fuses the soothing sounds of Heather's healing instruments with Rachel's guided meditation to help promote rest and rejuvenation.
The session will start with a gentle, beginner-friendly Yoga practice designed to prepare your body and mind for deeper relaxation. Then, participants will settle into their cozy blankets, sleeping bags, etc., and prepare to embark on a guided "Yoga Nidra" or "Sleep Yoga" practice. This meditative practice, custom-designed by Rachel in the moment, helps you navigate a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, promoting deep healing and inner peace.
To help enhance the experience, Heather will play a variety of sound healing instruments, including singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums. The blend of meditation and sound healing can leave you feeling as refreshed as after a 6+ hour sleep!
This unique experience is set against the backdrop of the starlit Lake Geode Beach, providing an added layer of grounding and connection to nature. It also supports a good cause! Partial proceeds from this class will benefit Friends of Geode, contributing to the preservation and enhancement of this beautiful natural space.
