Ballaké Sissoko (kora) and Vincent Segal (cello) on the one hand, Vincent Peirani (accordion) and Émile Parisien (saxophone) on the other. Together, these well-tempered individuals create a unity of spirit and a fluidity of sound that’s completely devoid of ego, all in the interest of the common musical good. Neither jazz nor traditional, neither classical nor avant-garde, but a little of each at once, this quartet marks out an independent poetic space where the ear is the lead instrument.

Ballaké Sissoko (kora) et Vincent Segal (violoncelle) d’un côté, Vincent Peirani (accordéon) et Émile Parisien (saxophone) de l’autre. Car c’est bien une unité d’esprit et une fluidité du son que créent ensemble ces individualités bien trempées, loin de toute querelle d’ego pour se mettre au service du bien musical commun. Ni jazz ni traditionnel, ni classique ni avant-gardiste, mais un peu de tout cela à la fois, ce quatuor fonde un territoire poétique indépendant où l’oreille est l’instrument-roi.
