Jazz, fusion and originals, come see Ramsay's trio for a night of captivating music! The trio features Sarah Ramsay (Ramsay), Nic Code and Quinn Beneteau.
Bios
Sarah Ramsay, better known as the artist RAMSAY, is a professional saxophonist, clarinetist and flutist in both the Ottawa and Toronto scenes. A graduate of Humber College’s Bachelor of Music Performance, Ramsay has had the pleasure to study under phenomenal artists such as: Alex Dean, Mark Promane, Mike Tremblay, Nina Martini-Dorey, Dave Neill, and Johnny Griffith. With a strong rich sound, Ramsay brings forth a beautiful blend and a strong lead in any musical setting. Also recognized as an accomplished bandleader, arranger and composer, Sarah Ramsay is looking to expand on that practice in the new year by releasing more original music and performing more frequently. Ramsay has released an EP with all original compositions called "SUBSIDE" that can be found on all streaming platforms.
Accolades
Most recently Sarah Ramsay has played at the NAC in the Ottawa Jazz Orchestra this past December. Ramsay has also played with Ed Lister's Prime Rib Big Band, and at venues such as The Rex Hotel, Minotaure, The Drake Hotel, The Emmet Ray and many others. She's also toured with the Toronto All-Star Big Band across the greater Toronto Area.
