Singing Workshop
We’ll be reading from music on the day, so some basic music-reading ability would be helpful. Maybe you played an instrument in the past or have sung in a choir before? Your skills don’t need to be advanced – the main thing to bring is a love of singing and an interest in learning some stirring tunes!
The work that we’ll be using as the basis for the workshop will be the Requiem in D minor, by Gabriel Fauré. Scores will be provided on the day (included in the price), but if you have your own copy, please drop us a line ([email protected]) to let us know, so we can make sure we hire the right number.
We won’t just throw you in at the deep end, though – first we’ll be working through some vocal exercises and learning about singing technique, to help you perform to the best of your ability.
Tea, coffee and home-made cake will be provided, and the day will end with a mini performance of the new music we've learned! You are welcome to invite family and friends to hear the mini performance at no additional charge.
