Join us on Saturday 12th September 2026 for a fantastic day celebrating Newport’s rich history and heritage!

Explore five fascinating historic locations across the town:
- Guildhall
- The Black Shed
- Newport Chapel
- St Nicholas Church (including the tower*) - Must be pre-booked
- Newport Indoor Market
🔔Try your hand at bell ringing on the mobile belfry located on the cobbled road beside St Nicholas Church and The Hub.
At Newport Indoor Market, families can enjoy:
• Children's colouring competitions
• Children's weaving competitions
• Live weaving demonstrations
Our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to share stories, answer questions, and help bring Newport's history to life.
⛪St Nicholas Church Tower Tours
Due to limited spaces, tower tours must be pre-booked:

🚶Newport History Society Guided Walks
Two guided walks will depart from the Guildhall at 11:00am and 1:30pm. Pre-booking is required:
