BUSINESS MEETS EDUCATION
About this Event
Join South Staffordshire Council, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub and Weston Park for Business Meets Education, an engaging morning designed to bring businesses, education providers and support organisations together to explore how modern work experience can create opportunities for young people and employers.
Taking place at Weston Park, the event will offer a welcoming space to connect, share ideas and gain practical insight into how businesses can support young people as they prepare for the world of work.
Attendees will hear from Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub and the Careers Observatory, who will share insight into the value of work experience, the Government commitment to increasing opportunities for young people, and the support available to help employers get involved with confidence.
The morning will include a panel discussion, where local businesses and partners will share first-hand insight, practical examples and reflections on how modern work experience can benefit both employers and young people.
This will be followed by the launch of the Inspiring Tomorrow’s Workforce project and Grow, How? Wow!, introducing a new set of resources designed to make it easier for businesses, schools and colleges to work together.
The event will then move into open networking and a marketplace session, giving attendees the chance to speak with organisations who can offer further advice, support and connections.
Whether you are an employer looking to develop your future talent pipeline, a school or college seeking stronger employer links, or a partner organisation supporting young people into employment, this event will provide valuable insight, practical resources and opportunities to build new connections.
