The 9th Annual Siembra Latinos Celebration honors the impact of our Latino community and the power of collective giving. This year's event brings back news anchor Veronica Macias as emcee for the evening as you enjoy delicious food and wine, live music performed by Nancy Cordiel and heartfelt stories of impact, all leading to the presentation of the 2026 Alfred Diaz-Infante Award to Anna Velazquez, Mayor of the City of Soledad, dedicated public servant and community advocate.
Anna has worked to advance equitable opportunities for Monterey County Latinos through inclusive leadership, advocacy for working families and expanded access to transportation and public services. Through her service on the many local and state boards and organizations, she has consistently advocated for greater representation, equity and opportunity for Latino residents.
