Short Weapons Workshop (Jutte - Kodachi - Tessen)

Our long time friend John Sims sensei will be visiting our school to share his experience with our members. Mr. Sims has been involved in a variety of modern and classical martial arts styles for over 30 years. He was stationed in Kentucky during his service in the US Army and has a background in education and law enforcement. He has since retired and travels the world in his free time as well as frequently visiting Japan for training.
The workshop will focus on the combative aspects of using short tools and proper body work to close the gap to an opponent with longer, more advantageous tools. The concepts will apply to the weapons and unarmed training.
With Mr. Sims highly qualified tenure in martial arts this will be a very unique seminar to attend.
