“Evangelizing the Imagination"
Talk Description: As Catholics, we are encouraged to remember our mortality not to live in fear, but to live with greater purpose, gratitude, and hope. Drawing from her experiences as a funeral director and Catholic speaker, Antonia Cummings will explore how contemplating death can illuminate our vocation, relationships, and ultimate destiny in Christ. Through stories, Church teaching, and practical reflections, participants will discover how the Works of Mercy, prayer for the dead, and the Christian understanding of death can help us live more intentionally and prepare for eternity.
Bio: Antonia Cummings is a licensed Funeral Director in Virginia and Washington, D.C., and serves as a Premier Advanced Planning Director in Northern Virginia and the Washington metropolitan area. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Christendom College and an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science. Antonia regularly speaks at Catholic churches, schools, seminaries, and community organizations on Catholic teachings surrounding death, grief, mercy, and end-of-life preparation. She is passionate about helping others encounter the hope of Christ through a deeper understanding of mortality and the promise of the Resurrection.
