Join us in Steamboat Springs, CO for a fun evening of uphill skiing and riding on March 13th!Join SheJumps as we celebrate Get the Girls Out! – a nationwide campaign uniting women and girls- transgender and cisgender- as well as non-binary individuals to embrace the great outdoors while fostering a sense of adventure and camaraderie. Spurred by International Women's Day , this program is a call to action for participants of all ages to connect with nature, break down barriers, and celebrate their achievements and strengths throughout the month of March. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer, the Get the Girls Out! gatherings aim to foster a community where participants can thrive outdoors, inspire one another and younger generations, forge new connections, and rekindle friendships. Grab your friends, and get ready to make unforgettable memories!
Event details: Meet outside Slopeside Grill (1855 Ski Time Square Dr, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487) at 5:00pm. Participants must have an uphill armband to participate. You may purchase prior to the event if needed. We will start heading up the mountain at 5:15pm. Bring AT skis, skins, layers and possibly a change of clothes/shoes for the top if you plan to stay for sunset happy hour at Thunderhead lodge. You can also snowshoe up with the group, and ride the gondola down. If you plan to stay for Sunset happy hour, Chamberlin Birch is playing from 5-8pm. The resort will send your skis down and you can pick them up at the bottom. Make new friends! Go at your own pace! It will be a fun evening of skinning up the mountain.

Who can attend? We welcome all women and girls—transgender and cisgender, as well as non-binary people to attend this event. Participants who are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event. Participants should be familiar and comfortable with uphill skiing and riding equipment, as no instruction will be provided.
FAQ's & Other Event Information
What do I need to bring? Bring anything you need to be comfortable for an evening of uphill skiing/riding. This could include extra layers, snacks, sun protection, water, hand warmers, etc. While we don't require helmets, we encourage all participants to wear helmets while skiing/riding. SheJumps will have a basic first aid kit. Participants should bring any life saving prescription medications.
Rentals: Rentals are available at Christy Sports or Ski Haus.
Uphill armband info: Check out Steamboat's website here for more information on getting your uphill armband.
Parking and getting to the event: Free parking is available at Knoll lot. Public transportation is available via the free local city bus.
Facility information: There are restrooms available at Thunderhead Lodge and Slopeside Grill.
Accessibility information: The majority of the GTGO programming will be conducted outside on uneven, snow-covered ground. The area is generally not ADA accessible.
