2025 Slash and Burn Banked Slalom

This is it, the 11th Annual Slash & Burn!! The first event came to life in 2014 with collaboration between the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and Powder Tools, and now today it is all grown up and is one of the biggest banked slalom events in the U.S. This event has been bringing together the best in the industry along with the best riders in the world, celebrating the entire snowboard community! We expect the largest and best field ever this year!

• Dates: March 21 Weekend Kickoff Party; March 22 Adult race; March 23 Groms race

• Registration fee (includes processing fee): $80 adult; $65 Youth/Grom

• Men’s Masters (ages 35-49 on race day)

• Women’s Masters (ages 35 & up on race day)

• Men’s Grand Masters (ages 50 and up on race day)

Youth (ages 14-17) and Grom (ages 13 and Under)- intermediate skill level advised

Refund policy: Full refunds (less the EvenBrite fee) will be offered for any pulls made before March 14 at 4:00pm. Email [email protected] to request a refund. No refunds will be offered after March 14 for any reason.

Merchandise: All Slash and Burn participants will recieve a t shirt at check in. To guarantee we will have your size of t-shirt register by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 7. Sweatshirt link coming soon!

THIS EVENT WILL FILL TO CAPACITY, REGISTER EARLY OR YOU MAY NOT GET A SPOT! There is no on-site registration. Online only. Registration closes at 11:59pm on March 16, but don’t wait until then as it will likely be full well before. To guarantee we will have your size of t-shirt or sweatshirt register by Friday, February 28. Again, register early!

Additional race notes: Snowboards only! Racer check-in is encouraged the day before the race. Check-in at Powder Tools between 9am and 6pm on Friday, March 21.

3. If you do not have a season pass, you may purchase a Racer Discounted Day Ticket-
4. Check-in: Powder Tools on Friday, March 21 from 9am-6pm. Helmets REQUIRED to enter the course.

Wednesday, March 5: 4 p.m., registration deadline to choose your complementary t-shirt size or order a sweatshirt.

Friday, March 21: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Check-In at Powder Tools (2305 Mt Werner Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487)***All athletes MUST check-in at Powder Tools!

Friday, March 21: 6-9 p.m. Weekend Kickoff Party at the Steamboat Social Club

Saturday, March 22: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. ADULT RACE DAY (age: 18 and older) - Hosted by Powder Tools at Steamboat Resort Bashor Area
