About this Event
Join SheJumps as we celebrate – a nationwide campaign uniting women and girls- transgender and cisgender- as well as non-binary individuals to embrace the great outdoors while fostering a sense of adventure and camaraderie. Spurred by International Women's Day, this program is a call to action for participants of all ages to connect with nature, break down barriers, and celebrate their achievements and strengths throughout the month of March. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer, the Get the Girls Out! gatherings aim to foster a community where participants can thrive outdoors, inspire one another and younger generations, forge new connections, and rekindle friendships. Grab your friends, and get ready to make unforgettable memories!
Join us in Juneau, AK for a morning of cross country skiing on March 8th!
Celebrate the unique connection of love, shared experience, and play with other babes (cis, trans, and non-binary) and our babies while we practice nordic skiing in our pursuit and connection with nature with our newest family members. Some may be seasoned in this new relationship and others may be trying out new gear and processes. This is a time of solidarity and support.
Cost: Free! Unless we need to ski at Eaglecrest Lower Loop due to snow conditions and availability, in which case you will need an Eaglecrest Ski Pass or day pass for nordic loop. Aiming for a free ski day.
Days activities: Group skiing and hot chocolate
Schedule:
- 9:30am: Set up equipment, Group Picture and gear check

Who can attend?: This event is for Babes (cis, trans, and non-binary) and their babies (chariots or preferred carriers). This group meetup is about solidarity of those with babies who get out nordic skiing regularly and those who are finding their way into it. This event is not suitable for beginners, as no instruction will be provided.
Participants can share tips and tricks, ask questions, review gear, and share time outside together. Share, inspire, encourage!
We will know more about accessibility and difficulty of trail closer to date when we determine the location and dependent upon snow conditions.
