Shabbat Hadasha: A New Approach to Shabbat Morning
As summer unfolds and the High Holy Days begin to appear on the horizon, many of us find ourselves asking: How do I prepare? How do I slow down enough to hear what my heart is trying to tell me? How do I bring my body, mind, and spirit into alignment?
Shabbat Hadasha offers a different way into Jewish prayer—one that makes space for reflection, curiosity, learning, and connection.
Join when you can. We'll begin with guided meditation, grounding ourselves in sacred time and the rhythms of the Jewish calendar. We'll explore a handful of Shabbat morning prayers through chant, study, and conversation, taking time to uncover the wisdom and meaning often hidden beneath familiar words. We'll learn with partners, engage Torah in community, and share an abbreviated Torah service designed to deepen participation rather than rush through it.
Part contemplative prayer, part learner's minyan, part community experience, Shabbat Hadasha is for seasoned worshippers, spiritual seekers, and anyone who has ever wished to feel more connected in Jewish prayer.
No experience is necessary. Come as you are.
