Sewing In The Sunshine with The Family

Put down the screens and pick up a needle!

Join us for a nostalgic, hands-on afternoon where we trade "tech time" for "together time." Whether you’re a pro with a thimble or have never threaded a needle, this workshop is all about passing down the beautiful, "old-fashioned" skills that used to be a staple of every childhood.

From hand-sewing to the basics of knitting and crochet, we are on a mission to keep these wonderful crafts alive for the next generation. It’s the perfect excuse to bond with the kids and maybe even learn a new trick yourself!

• Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Where: The Hidden Garden Cafe 15 St Peters Street Ipswich IP1 1XF
• Who: Children and their favorite grown-ups (Parents, Carers or Grandparents!)
• Price: £10 per child includes all materials and take-home kit

In a world of screens, there is something magical about making something with your own two hands. We’ll be exploring skills like:

• Hand Sewing basics
• Introduction to Knitting & Crochet
• French Knitting - Just like Grandma used to do!

A Note for Families: All children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a collaborative experience designed for families to work together.

Why not bring Grandma or Grandad along? They’ll love sharing their wisdom and seeing the little ones pick up these classic hobbies.
