Sew A Knit Dress

Class Dates:
May 11th, 12th, and 14th
Join this beginner-friendly sewing series and learn how to make your own simple knit dress from start to finish. This class will take place over 3 sessions, with each class lasting 2 hours. Students will learn how to read and use a basic pattern, cut knit fabric properly, sew seams using stretch fabric stitch settings, hem, and complete a wearable garment with guidance throughout the process.

This class is designed for students who have completed Sewing 101 or have basic sewing machine knowledge ages 16^. Please arrive on time and ready to participate, as each class builds on the previous session. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety. All materials and machines will be provided unless otherwise noted. Because this is a series class, attendance at all scheduled sessions is strongly encouraged to complete your project. MakerSpace Charlotte policies will apply for any cancellations or class changes. Come ready to learn, be patient with yourself, and have fun creating!

At Sew Free Co., I offer hands-on sewing classes designed to help you build real skills at your own pace, whether you’re learning the basics, refreshing your skills, or ready to create your first garment. My goal is to make sewing feel approachable, fun, and empowering so you leave each class feeling proud of what you made.

Refund Policy:

• Transfers to another class follow the same refund rules as your original date.
• 14+ days before the first class: Full refund.
• 7–13 days before the first class: Refund minus a 50% administrative fee.
• Fewer than 7 days before the first class: No refunds.
• Seat transfer: If you find a replacement who pays for and takes your seat before the first class begins, you are eligible for a full refund.

Class may be canceled due to low enrollment in which case a full refund will be issued.
Cancellation Policy:

MakerSpace reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled by MakerSpace, fees are 100% refundable.
