- Use a sewing pattern
- Learn Pattern Adjustments
- Prepare and & Cut Fabric
- Learn about Interfacing, Facing, Pockets, Buttonholes & Buttons
- Finishing Seams and more
By the end of this 6- week course, you will finish a stylish vest to take home.
Who should take this class: This is for students who are at an intermediate or advanced sewing level, who want to learn garment construction techniques or build on what their existing knowledge.
Supplies Provided: Sewing machine, thread, interfacing, sewing tools, and pattern. If you prefer to bring your own sewing machine, you are welcome to do so.
Students to Bring:
- 2 yards of woven fabric (NO Stretchy fabric). Suggested fabric options: Cotton, Quilting Cotton, Poplin, Linen, Corduroy, Denim.
- 4 buttons: (5/8 inch in size)

Instructor: Mila Ivanov
Mila is a professional tailor with extensive experience in fashion design, garment construction, fitting, and alterations. She holds a degree in sewing technology. Among her many accomplishments, she has worked as chief designer in the fashion design and manufacturing industry. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills with others who want to refine their garment sewing skills.
