Sessions at Stained Glass Vol. 11 | feat. Graham Dechter and Benny Benack

Sessions at Stained Glass is a monthly concert series from the music studio of Peter Smith. For vol.11, we will feature NY trumpet player and vocalist, Benny Benack, along with the Dechter/Frank quartet, featuring Graham Dechter (guitar), Peter Smith (piano), Alex Frank (bass) and Ryan Shaw (drums). Benny tours the world with his own groups and regularly leads bands in NYC at Smalls, Birdland, and the like. Graham is easily one of the top guitarists in Los Angeles with a long list of credits and a profound sense of swing. Alex and Ryan are first-call players in LA with a long history with Graham (they have a group called the Lineage Trio). I'm the lucky piano player (Peter Smith) who gets to hop on for the ride!

There will be light refreshments served, free of charge.

Stained Glass Music Studio is located in the First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Parking meters are not enforced on Sunday. Alternately, you can park in the garage at 150 E. Holly Street 91101. Bring in your garage ticket for validation. Someone will meet you at the front door and take you upstairs. Important*: there are two short flights (8 steps each) up to the studio, which are unavoidable. There is no elevator access to the space itself.
