About this Event

The NCCA's Second Saturday Tour will be led by board member and self-described “Nashville enthusiast” Ella Marie Sullivan. Having worked at the Tennessee State Museum and the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ella Marie has an informed appreciation of the city's past and present.

Her tour will have a back to school theme. Highlighting residents of the City Cemetery, she will tell the story of teachers, schools, and educational institions that established and influenced Nashville, its residents, and its Athens of the South identity.

Free parking is available. The City Cemetery is a Metro Nashville Public Park, open dawn to dusk, and handicap accessible. Donations appreciated. 100% of funds support the all-volunteer Nashville City Cemetery Association mission to beautify and preserve the site.
