Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) and the Marine Mammal Care Center (MMCC) are collaborating on monthly Science & Art Workshops! Every first Saturday of the Month.

Free for all, kids and adults, all ages welcome.

Join us for an amazing afternoon with the Marine Mammal Care Center!

Have you ever wondered what ocean water looks like under a microscope?

In this ArtLab we will be using magnifying glasses to observe our surroundings and a microscope to look at some plankton. We will also learn watercolor techniques in order to artistically record our observations. Along with this, there will also be a guided tour around the Marine Mammal Care Center and a short lesson about some of the microorganisms in our oceans.

En este ArtLab usaremos lupas para observar nuestro entorno y un microscopio para examinar algo de plancton. También aprenderemos técnicas de acuarela para plasmar artísticamente nuestras observaciones. Además, habrá una visita guiada por el Centro de Cuidado de Mamíferos Marinos y una breve lección sobre algunos de los microorganismos que habitan en nuestros océanos.

All supplies will be provided for free and everyone is welcome.

Maximum room for 35 people

ArtLab is back at the MMCC in-person! Please meet us in the classroom at MMCC before 1 PM to claim your reservation. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The event will begin promptly at 1pm.
