Self-Care: Making Room for Joy
About this Event
Presented by Finding Inspiration Foundation in collaboration with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas (MHA).
Self-care is more than buzzwords and checklists. This lighter summer gathering treats rest, balance, and joy as essential parts of mental health, not luxuries.
This month, MHA leads a Self-Care & Self-Love workshop built to help you grow a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself. Together we'll look at how stress, burnout, and self-criticism wear on us, and leave with simple, everyday tools for setting boundaries, easing overwhelm, and protecting your own worth. Ashlyn Pemberton of MHA will guide the workshop with handouts and a presentation, and Diamond James, LCSW, LISW-CP, co-facilitates the conversation.
We'll also screen a light-hearted short film to open the night and spark honest conversation about what sustainable self-care really looks like in everyday life.
Doors open at 6:30 PM. The program runs 7 to 9 PM. Free to attend, with food and drinks available.
Come as you are, and bring someone who needs the reminder that caring for yourself is not selfish, it's necessary.
