Rocky Herron was a DEA agent for 31 years. He has been a drug prevention educator since 2007, now having presented 1,250 times in 17 countries, to almost 1/4 million youth from 11-18 years of age. From his website:
My mission is to use my life experiences as a DEA agent and a parent of 3 daughters to teach young people:
•Never to start using drugs
•That they can make different choices if they are already using drugs
•That it’s not their fault if they are suffering from someone else’s substance use
•That drug use isn’t normal, even though society makes it seem that way
My message empowers young people to respect their potential in life and to make smart choices. I have delivered my 60-120 minute presentations more than 1,200 times to more than 230,000 students from 11-18 years of age in 17 countries since 2007.
