Resting half way between the Autumnal Equinox and the Winter Solstice, Samhain is a liminal holiday - a time of death as we approach the stillness of Winter when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. And also - on the other side of the planet, in the northern hemisphere - it is the time of Beltane. The liminal holiday between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. A time of birth and growth, passion and fire. A time when the veil is also at its thinnest.
Join us for a ritual that connects us to our live community, beloved dead and to the primordial fire that is alight within us. Dance with the shadow - and the light - within yourself.
This event is also a recital, of sorts, for the students who have been working so hard this past few weeks in the second annual Sword Magick: Samhain Performance Intensive. This is a chance for our beautiful community to witness what this year's intensive has inspired.
Join us on Sunday 10/27, 6-9pm in costume or your witchiest Samhain best!
Our evening will include a community Samhain ritual, snacks, and performances by local artists. If you would like to perform, please contact me at [email protected] and put "SAMHAIN" in the subject line.
Tickets are $20 online or at the door. No one turned away for lack of funds. Just come be with community.
Funds are used to cover the costs of the venue. Any profits will be donated to help support the victims and refugees of war in the Middle East.
