Over the coming months, this space will document the development of a multidisciplinary collaborative project currently working under the title:
🖤 Not Dead Yet?
The project explores the realities, contradictions, tenderness, absurdity, grief, humour, intimacy, and humanity involved in living with incurable cancer.
Through writing ✍️, textiles 🧵, spoken word 🎤, photography 📷, film 🎬, sculpture 🗿, painting 🎨, sound 🎧, and conversation 💬, the residency will bring together a cohort of artists and creatives with lived experience of incurable cancer — either personally or through caring for someone they love.
This is not a project about dying.
It is a project about living. 🌿✨
About identity, autonomy, relationships, bodies, memory, resilience, fear, joy, anger, bureaucracy, tenderness, survival, and what it means to continue building a life while carrying the knowledge that it may be shortened.
This account will become a living archive of the process:�🛠 workshops�📝 reflections�🧪 experiments�🫂 conversations�🎨 collaborations�💥 failures�✨ breakthroughs�🖼 artwork�🤝 community�☕ and all the messy, beautiful bits in between.
