Family Yoga Dragon Quest
About this Event
A 45 minute family Yoga session for children aged 3 upwards. Throughout the session we explore:
🐉 Elements & Nature
Children connect with the five elements—Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Ether—through movement, stories, and imagination.
🐉 Body Intelligence
We encourage children to listen to their bodies, notice how they feel, and develop trust in their own inner wisdom.
🐉 Stillness & Breathing
Through simple breathing exercises and moments of stillness , children learn tools to help them find calm, focus, and self-regulation.
🐉 Energy Awareness
In an age-appropriate way, children explore how movement, rest, nature, and positive thoughts can help them feel energised, balanced, and recharged.
🐉 Positive Decrees
We use simple positive statements such as “I am brave,” “I am kind,” and “I am strong” to help nurture confidence and positive subconscious patterns.
🐉Dragon Magic & Creativity
As children become still, they are invited into the magical world of the dragons. Through guided visualisation and imagination, they can listen for messages from their own personal dragon guide—a special dragon who reflects their unique gifts, strengths, and inner wisdom. At the end of each session, children have the opportunity to draw and name their dragon, creating a lasting friendship that grows alongside them throughout their journey
A Sovereignty-Based Approach
A core value of our classes is helping children develop a healthy sense of choice and self-expression.
Children are always invited—but never pressured—to:
- Ask questions during the session
- Share thoughts, feelings, or experiences
- Tell others about their dragon companion
- Participate in discussions
- Bring a crystal from home or choose one available at the venue (where applicable)
We believe that confidence grows when children feel safe, respected, and empowered to make their own choices.
As with all our children’s yoga classes, the focus is on enjoyment, exploration, imagination, and body awareness rather than achieving perfect yoga poses. Children’s bodies are continually growing and developing, and we encourage them to move in ways that feel comfortable, safe, and natural for them.
Taught by the wonderful Jenny Marie who has taught yoga and pilates for 23 years all around the world, including children and families and more recenty David Lloyd in Poole.
