Tap into your creativity with an expressive art session to help you feel grounded and centered.
About this Event

Join us for a gentle 2‑hour expressive art therapy workshop in Berlin, designed to support resource activation, grounding, and tension relief through guided imagery and creativity. We begin with a soothing, safe‑place meditation to calm the nervous system, then move into playful, low‑pressure art‑making to give form to the images and feelings that arise. No artistic experience is needed – this is a trauma‑sensitive space to go at your own pace, with optional sharing in a small group held by an experienced, integrative, trauma‑informed art therapist.
This event is for those who have been affected by cancer, whether you have experienced it yourself, have been a caretaker, or have someone close to you who has been impacted. We would like to open this space for you.
Arrival & Welcome: Settle in, enjoy tea, and ease gently into the space

  • Introduction: Brief welcome, group agreements, and an overview of the evening
  • Guided Meditation & Safe‑Place Visualization: A gentle, resource‑oriented mindfulness practice to calm the nervous system and invite a sense of inner safety
  • Creative Exploration: Using simple art materials to give shape to the images and sensations that arose during the meditation. No artistic skill needed – playfulness and experimentation are warmly encouraged
  • Optional Sharing Circle: An open, gently held conversation where you are invited (but never obligated) to share your experience, your image, or simply a few words
  • Closing & Farewell: A quiet moment to land back in the room before we say goodbye

About the art therapist:
Deike is trained in psychodynamic modalities of art therapy as well as traditional talk‑therapy methods. She uses art therapy to help people process emotions that may be difficult to put into words, and to gently reframe experiences into safer, more contained expressions.

She enjoys facilitating therapeutic groups and has extensive experience supporting people navigating a wide range of mental‑health challenges. She works with warmth and presence, and her approach is integrative, trauma‑informed, and resource‑oriented.
Contraindication: This workshop is not suitable for people currently experiencing acute psychosis.

She does offer individual therapy sessions separately from this workshop, and you are welcome to speak with her after the session if you’d like to know more.
