Run to Empower is an event dedicated to supporting and advancing women’s running in Canada. By showcasing exceptional local talent, it features a women’s-only performance race, an inclusive open 5K for all athletes, and the Little Warriors Kids 1K. This is a wonderful chance for everyone to come together in celebration of women’s running, while also inspiring the next generation by introducing young runners to strong, empowered role models.

Run to Empower open 5K (including a stroller wave): 9:45 am

RUN TO EMPOWER OPEN 5K
Athletes of all genders are welcome including runners racing with strollers who will kick off the open 5K by being the first wave to cross the start line of our event.
Registration includes medal**, timing, free downloadable race photos and post-race snacks. Shirts are available for purchase during registration.
**Those who’ve opted to go green will have a donation made in lieu of receiving a medal.
LITTLE WARRIORS KIDS 1K
Athletes 12 years and under, all genders welcome.
OTTAWA’S FASTEST WOMEN 5K
A performance race for any persons who identify as female 12+ , includes prizing for the following categories: top eight, Masters(40+), and U19. Must have run under 20:00 for the 5K (or an equivalent result) since January 1, 2024 (you will be prompted to upload your time and race during registration). **Those who’ve opted to go green will have a donation made in lieu of receiving a medal.
Athletes who have run 18:30 or faster for the 5K will receive free entry into the event, those from 18:30-20:00 shall pay an entry fee of $20.
