At this month's slam, a curated lineup of the city's best up-and-coming poets compete with AN 8 MINUTE SET EACH!
Usually, Ruckus Poetry Slam is an open mic - where anyone can sign up on the night and gets 2 minutes on stage. But as is tradition, one month of every year we do a call out for submissions to the community for any poets who'd like a little bit more time to explore their craft!
Over the past few weeks, we've collated all your wonderful submissions and curated a line-up of TEN wonderfully diverse voices for our annual Chapbook Slam!
So NO OPEN MIC this month means no pressure to perform - come along and enjoy a more FANCY night of PoetryTM.

CAN I SIGN UP TO PERFORM?
Not this month! We've already taken submissions and the lineup is full! But in AUGUST we will return to our usual open mic format (Wed 26 Aug).
CAN I BE A JUDGE?
Yes! This month's Chapbook Slam is still a competition - each poet gets scored with dinosaur puns like normal, and the winner will proceed to the Ruckus Final in November!
CAN I BUY TICKETS ON THE DOOR?
Yes! $20 if you bring cold hard cash!
IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE?
Yes! Our new venue Mirrorball Ministries, and their bathroom, is accessible for audience, and performers now have the option to perform either on the stage or at audience level!
