Rotary Santa Rosa World Polio Torch Relay
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa, Rotary Club of Santa Rosa Sunrise, and Rotary Club of Santa Rosa East/West will come together to carry a historic 1984 Olympic torch through Santa Rosa—all in support of Rotary’s mission to end polio worldwide.
The approximately 1.6-mile walk will begin at Santa Rosa Junior College and continue to Railroad Square. Community members, families, students, Rotarians, and friends are invited to walk the full route or join us for a portion of the relay.
This special torch was originally carried by Cathy Ritter during the 1984 Olympic Torch Relay. Today, Cathy’s torch continues its journey as a symbol of hope, remembrance, and Rotary’s commitment to creating a polio-free world.
Come walk with us, cheer on the torchbearers, take photos, and be part of this historic community event!
