Come move, connect, and feel good at Roots & Rhythm, a community dance series at Nia Centre for the Arts!
Led by facilitator Rhea Daniels, this Soul & R&B Line Dance session is a celebration of movement, music, and the joy of dancing together. Participants will learn a mix of classic and familiar Soul and R&B line dances through short, easy-to-follow sequences.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or someone who simply wants to get moving, this session is designed to be welcoming, social, and accessible. No previous dance experience is required , just bring yourself and your willingness to move!
Who Is This For?
Everyone! Roots & Rhythm is designed as an intergenerational community space, with a particular invitation to adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s to come together, move, connect, and enjoy being in community.
You don't need to consider yourself a dancer to participate. The focus is on joy, connection, movement, and having a good time.
