River Fishing

Introducing youth to the fun of river fishing while teaching proper techniques, safety topics, and tips for central Iowa!
About this Event

Participants will learn basic fishing skills, explore local fish species, and gain an understanding of how healthy rivers support thriving ecosystems. Whether it's their first time fishing or they're looking to improve their skills, this program offers a fun and educational outdoor experience. This program is designed for ages 6 - 18. This session will be held at the Cottonwood Recreation area, near the loop on the northwest corner of the park.

The Iowa DNR will be on site assisting with the session and providing their expertise.
