River District Redbud Fundraiser

Hosted by Greta Lacin, Chair of the Reintroduction to the Riverfront Subcommittee and Devin Strecker, Executive Director of the River District.

Greta’s had a long-time dream of making the riverbanks of the Sacramento and American Rivers come to life with Western Redbuds. The Redbuds bloom with a beautiful Magenta flower, and she envisions the flowers drawing people upriver to explore the River District.

Devin and Greta, with the rest of the subcommittee, have been working to begin implementing this plan later this fall! The new Dos Rios Light Rail Station on North 12th street has kicked off this effort by planting Western Redbuds as well, so we’re off to a great start.
