About this Event

Join the River Dee Trust during their month of action against litter, helping to keep our local watercourses clean. For our next volunteer day, we’ll be heading to the banks of the Dee at Garthdee in Aberdeen for a practical morning of litter picking.

The day will start at 9:30am, meeting at the small carpark between Sainsbury’s and B&Q Garthdee, for introductions before we take to the riverside path. The length of session may vary based on team size, but we will aim to be finished and back at the carpark by 12:30pm.

All equipment for the activity will be provided by the River Dee Team, all that we ask is that you come prepared for outdoor conditions with sturdy footwear such as walking boots or wellie boots. The path here can be overgrown at times, so we recommend wearing long trousers to keep legs protected. If you have your own gardening gloves, you are welcome to take these along, though we’ll have plenty gloves to go around.

Booking is required as spaces are limited on the day. Upon confirmation of your space, further details will be provided by the Trust's Engagement Officer, Claire. If you have any questions regarding the event, please contact Claire directly on [email protected].
